SteriComp PFS
The first patented portable pneumatic pressure filtration sterilizer!
The perfect solution for low volume liquid sterilization and vial filling.

What is SteriComp PFS?
SteriComp PFSTM is a new patented machine (U.S. Patent No. 12,090,121 B1) which allows pharmacists, doctors, veterinarians, and other health personnel to quickly and simply sterilize liquid medications by pressure filtration with a 0.22µm antimicrobial membrane filter. Sterilization by filtration is employed where heat sterilization cannot be used (e.g. when heat will degrade the medication).
SteriComp simplifies the compounding process when low volumes of sterile liquid medicines need to be produced. The purpose of SteriComp is to maximize speed and efficiency and prevent operator fatigue or repetitive use injury when using a syringe with membrane filter to sterilize liquid medications. SteriComp may also be used by lab technicians when efficient filtration sterilization of low volumes of liquids is necessary.
SteriComp is powered by industry-standard compressed gas cartridges which use pressurized CO2 to push unsterile liquid medication in a syringe through an antimicrobial disc filter and into a sterile container such as a glass vial or intravenous fluid bag.
SteriComp is compact, portable, light weight and can be used comfortably in small laminar flow hoods.

Who is SteriComp PFS for?
SteriComp PFSTM may be used in various healthcare and lab settings.

Key Benefits over Volumetric Peristaltic Pumps for Filtering and Filling

Why do I Need SteriComp PFS?
- Make custom injectables that are not readily available, have long lead-times or high costs (e.g. procaine)
- Make custom injectables with short shelf-life on-demand (e.g. NAD+, oxaloacetate)
- Make off-label injectables on demand (e.g. sodium dichloroacetate)
- Make preservative-free injectables quickly and cost-effectively when commercial preparations are too costly or not readily available
- Rapidly fill elastomeric pumps (with or without filtration sterilization)
- Save labor by semi-automating low volume sterile compounding
- Save time and money compared to volumetric filling pumps that use costly disposables, have limited pressure for filtration, and have high dead space wasting costly medication
- Achieve US Department of Labor OSHA compliance with Ergonomic Guidelines by reducing the risk of repetitive strain injury compared to manually sterilizing by filtration
- Avoid accidentally damaging 0.2µm filter by using too much pressure when filtering by hand (avoid producing contaminated medication)
- Quickly re-fresh injectables that have passed the beyond-use date (only for those medicines expired per sterility guidelines, not for stability reasons)
- Split single-use sterile vials into multiple smaller vials to cut costs while preserving sterility
The user is responsible for understanding and following industry standard practices and applicable laws for sterile medication compounding, such as USP 797 guidelines. The user must be trained in the operation and safe use of SteriComp according to the product manual. The user must follow published guidelines relating to work safety and accident prevention, and ensure professional diligence at all times. SteriComp is not an FDA-classified medical device and must never be used to infuse anything into a patient. For human-use medication sterilization, SteriComp must be used with sterile disposables that are approved by the FDA or other relevant health regulatory agency.
