Dr. Humaira graduated at the top of her medical class and has worked closely with her husband Dr. Akbar Khan since 1994. She is the C.O.O. of Neos Medical.

Dr. Akbar is considered to be one of the world's leading metabolic cancer therapy experts based on his clinical work with dichloroacetate therapy, and class-leading publications. Now he has directed his skills and experience gained from nearly 30 years of medical practice to developing a new range of devices and services at Neos Medical Systems.

Our CNC Manufacturing
Our Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) gives us rapid prototyping capability and allows original design and product updating without delay to meet industry demands. This video illustrates computer numerical control ("CNC") machining of aircraft grade aluminum to form the upper plate of the new SteriComp PFS machine.
A Brief Timeline of Our Journey
- 1991 - Our C.O.O. Dr. Humaira Khan graduates from Fatima Jinnah Medical College (Pakistan) with the highest standing in her class
- 1992 - Our founder and C.E.O. Dr. Akbar Khan graduates from University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine (Canada)
- 2000 - Dr. Akbar Khan begins teaching various post-graduate medical programs
- 2006 - Husband and wife team Drs. Akbar and Humaira Khan create the first integrative private cancer clinic in Canada to correct deficiencies in the socialized health system
- 2006 onward - Drs. Akbar and Humaira Khan are featured in various media nationally and internationally for their leadership and innovative achievements in medicine
- 2007 - Dr. Khan becomes one of the first physicians in the world to use a new concept of "metabolic" cancer therapy in clinical practice ("starve" cancer cells)
- 2011 to 2024 - Drs. Akbar and Humaira Khan author several world-first peer-reviewed publications on topics such as metabolic cancer therapy, low dose naltrexone cancer therapy, cancer staging and cancer prevention
- 2013 onward - Dr. Akbar Khan is an invited speaker at various national and international medical conferences
- 2024 - Dr. Akbar Khan receives his first U.S. patent for a pneumatic sterile compounding machine (SteriComp) in a remarkable time of 2.5 months
- 2025 - Neos Medical Systems is formed, testing and manufacturing begins

Published a novel prostate cancer primary prevention strategy based on chronic infection DNA detection and therapy.

Published a paradigm-shifting change to outdated cancer staging based on circulating tumor cell detection and measurement.

Developed a multitargeted metabolic cancer treatment blocking multiple glycolytic and glutamine pathways and proved clinical success.
